Sophie Rhys-Jones Engagement Ring

They’ve been dating for five years before Prince Edward knelt down and proposed to Sophie Rys-Jones with a 2.05 carat oval cut diamond engagement ring on January 1999. The ring costs 105,ooo pounds at that time and if this is true it might be one of the most expensive engagement rings of the royals. They get acquainted at a charity event which Sophie are helping to organize, then she ends up having a photograph with the Prince for the promotion of the event.

The engagement ring was especially made for her by Asprey & Garrard. They then take their marriage vows on June 19, 1999 at the St. George’s Chapel, Windsor, and was given the titles as the Earl and the Countess of Wessex.
